Our mama used to go hysterical at the sight of us and SEGA (and PlayStation too) being romantically in love all day all night. She used to shout at us : “Go study! That video game ain’t gonna help you make money!” But little did she know that at Exabytes, we actually get RM500 worth of prizes just by being good at playing it! Haha! 
Recently, Exabytes just threw our first ever Wii Championship to determine the team with the best exergaming (exercise+gaming) skills in the office! It kick-started in middle of March and ended early May. Organized by our four hardworking event planners – Ku, Keat, Roger, and Guan – it was one of the most exciting activities we have ever done so far – and healthy too as the games played required us to be physically active!
All that we had to do, was to form up a team (there were 8 teams altogether) and compete with each other – league style. The aim for each team was to collect and accumulate as many points possible for each game played in Wii Sports and Wii Play. The team with the most accumulated points wins the championship! As easy as that! Now let’s have a peek of us in action!

We’ve been dreaming for it for days. We’ve been anticipating for its arrival like a kid waiting for Santa’s presents. And finally, it arrived – it’s Bungalow Stay @ Penang Hill time!
Our jolly-fun trip started at Penang Hill’s downhill station, where all of us gathered at one place while waiting for our train tickets. The queue was really long when we got there. It took us about half an hour for us to get our tickets and it felt even forever for the funicular train to arrive. But finally it did, and we got on board and up, up to the hill! The view was really scenic along the way, we couldn’t help feeling blown away!
And then we reached the top. As soon as we stepped our feet on uphill station, we were immediately separated into four groups :
- Black Group (Transformers)
- Blue Group (The Simpsons)
- Orange Group (South Park)
- Red Group (The Incredibles)
Suddenly we heard some of our female staffs shrieked! We turned around and were caught off guard when we saw some of the tourists taking pictures which a large, slimy, yellow snake! Goodness! However, not wanting to miss this chance of a lifetime experience, we gathered all the confidence we could muster, and braved ourselves to take pictures with the snake as well! Don’t believe us? Believe it or not, like many other times before (haha) we did it again!
Goodness. It feels like yesterday that we just won the MYNIC Award, but thanks to our committed and hardworking staffs, we now have another reason to smile, celebrate and pat each other on the back, as we adore that sparkling trophy we won from the Malaysia HR Awards recently, now standing proud, joining all other trophies and consuming another space in our Hall of Fame!
Oh yes we still can’t get over our triumph at the memory of the unforgettable, glorious night. The prestigious HR Awards night is actually a yearly event organized by Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) since 1999. The awards are highly supported and endorsed by the human resource community. It was officiated by Prof. Dato’. Dr.Ibrahim Ahmad Bajunid, the President of Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management and witnessed by Yang Berhormat Datuk Dr. S. Subramaniam, Minister of Human Resources, Malaysia.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming.
Hence, Exabytes has decided to participate in this global election.

Yes, we did it again! Another award for another category and another honor! It feels like yesterday that we just won the Golden Bull Award, but a million thanks to you, our customers, just recently, we have just won another award for “The Most Renewal Domain 2008″ by MYNIC!
In case you don’t already know, MYNIC Berhad (MYNIC), is the sole administrator for web addresses that end with .my in Malaysia. We’re back after a wonderful week of ang pows collecting, stomach stuffing and fire-crackers blasting from the recent CNY celebration! This year, we welcome the Year of the Ox, the sign representing solemn hard work and prosperity!
Therefore, last week, just before the CNY holiday started, we thought of doing something fun after a longgg hard day at work! Everybody was wearing red, so we thought it would be a good idea to get the “model” out of us, and pose for all of you!

It was a great night @ Wonderland Restaurant, Penang. The food was simply lip smacking, and the OCs were doing so amazing for pumping up the already happening night!

September 20th 2008 was a historical date to all of us. It was a day where we moved to our new Suntech office!
It was a very busy day for all of us really. We all helped each other out in organizing files, cleaning things, packing things up, carrying and moving things to the new office. It was very tiring, yes, but fun at the same time!
