While 2013 commenced with great joy and pleasant surprises, Exabytes EOTM Award kick started by revealing its first superstar of the year. She…, is a female in our business development department. She…, is a serious and committed Exabee and she…, possesses a super friendly, honest and understanding personality. Not only that, she carries the sweetest and friendliest smile one can ever imagine. Outside work, our January superstar has a liking for good food and is a passionate cyclist at the same time.
Without further ado, let’s put our hands together for our first EOTM in 2013 – Business Development Executive (Malaysia division), Wei-Ling! Not only does Wei-Ling have an excellent working attitude, her pleasant personality makes everyone in the office fall in love with her. Wei-Ling stood out from the crowd in January because of her dedication and her much applauded working attitude and personality as follows:
- works well within and outside the team
- has great follow-ups with customer enquiries
- takes the initiative to handle calls for International sales team (when it’s short-handed)
- outstanding sales achievement
- great working attitude

Employee of the Month
In the Sales & Marketing Department (Malaysia division) of Exabytes, there sits a small person with a big heart and big capabilities. He has a knack for completing any tasks you assign to him, by working independently to find the solutions and surprise you with the end results. This low profile Exabee looks very serious whenever he is at work, but can be downright cheeky and playful when provoked.
Outside of work, our Star of December 2012 enjoys spending his time on adventurous and role-playing types of video games, playing badminton and not forgetting always upgrading himself in knowledge of e-Commerce and Internet Marketing.
Because of his great working performance, in last December, our ever critical judges of EOTM anonymously appointed him as the Superstar of December 2012! Without further ado, let’s give a big round of applause to Internet Marketing Executive, Sanz Teoh!
We thought Sanz deserved to be the Star of December 2012 because he:
- was independent in executing his daily tasks
- was very creative in suggesting new ideas for various marketing campaigns
- worked well and was friendly with all other team members
- was efficient in helping to promote / develop the tasks assigned to him
- handled his tasks very well, and was always ready to give more than he was asked for
- always sought for new solutions to fix problems

Employee of the Month
Exabytes EOTM a.k.a. Employee of the Month is a monthly award that rewards outstanding Exabees for their exceptional working performance / attitude and selfless dedication to work. In November last year, a new but brilliant Exabee once again proved to us that being new doesn’t equal average.
She…, is a Taiping girl. She…, paints and draws passionately in her spare time. She…, is a huge fan of heavy metal music and she…, loves her work as a Web and Graphic Designer at Exabytes as it involves exercising her left and right brain muscle at the same time by designing (right brain) and doing coding (left brain), besides having friendly and helpful colleagues / managers around her. Without further ado, please cheer for and give a big round of applause to our EOTM for November 2012, Exabytes Web and Graphic Designer Namrata Gill, or more fondly known as Namy!

Employee of the Month
Time passes like lightning, in just a blink of an eye, the year 2012 has come to a close! However, there was a female superstar, an Exabytes Employee of The Month who is not to be forgotten for her selfless dedication and helpful attitude in the month of October, 2012! Best known for her artistic talent, outside work, our EOTM has the passion and gift in making cute little stuff such as soft toys, key holders, purses, etc. When her manager was away for a week, our October superstar once again stepped up and offered her leadership and responsibility by managing the workload for the team well, completing all the tasks assigned to her on time and guiding the juniors wholeheartedly.
Furthermore, what makes our October EOTM more deserving is her selfless attitude in sharing her ideas on design and artwork, not to mention her impressive punctuality at work. Without further delay, let’s give a big hand to Exabytes Web & Graphic Designer, Alysa Lee!!
In October, she was officially crowned Exabytes’ EOTM mainly because of the following:
- handled all assigned tasks well when the manager was not around for a week time
- assists team members well and help each other to achieve goals
- works well individually and as a team to manage workload
- leads and guides juniors well to complete their tasks more efficiently

Employee of the Month
There is a quiet Exabee in our office who seldom gets involved in all the conversations we have, but would suddenly give a chuckle when he hears something funny. At work, this hardworking young man is a very fast learner and is never disappointing in hitting monthly sales targets. Besides being very approachable, the chap has always taken the initiative to learn new skills and achieve more than he is asked for in his job. With determination and consistent performance, in last September, he successfully stood out from the crowd and was crowned EOTM September 2012 by our critical judges of EOTM.
Without further ado, let’s put our hands together for Exabytes’ EOTM September 2012 – the chap who is mentally involved in all the conversations we have in the office, although not verbally, Business Development Executive Mr. Lim Kheng Huei!
Kheng Huei deserves our highest salutation in the month of September because he:
- continuously achieves excellent sales target for more than 5 months, or in other words has never missed the 100% targets
- is friendly and works well with team members from every department
- is a spontaneous and fast learner
- completes all follow-ups and tasks that are assigned to him efficiently and on time
- is willing to help and guide juniors with great patience
- stands out from others in sales follow-ups
- possesses excellent working attitude

When you have finished your assigned tasks, would you take the initiative to ask others in the office if you could lend a hand? Well, while most people wouldn’t, there was an angel who happily offered her help every time she had free time to spare in Exabytes office last August. We understand that to behave in such good spirits at work, one has to be extremely passionate for his / her job. And true enough, this special person is seen carrying a smiling face every single day, enjoying every minute of her work that she even lends a helping hand to her colleagues from other departments.
Because of her selfless work attitude, in last August, our ever critical judges of EOTM anonymously appointed her as the Superstar of August 2012! With much anticipation, let’s give a big round of applause to Finance & Admin Assistant, Miko Loh!
Miko was chosen as EOTM of August 2012 because she:
- was more than willing to help whenever she had free time to spare
- helped easing the workload of her seniors by slowly taking over certain tasks
- enjoyed her work, carried a smiling face every day and brightened our days
- was helpful to all colleagues across departments
- was efficient in handling the task of posting notepads to our Singapore office
- was always punctual to work

Does anyone here believe in Karma? Do you think that when you do good, something good will find its way back to you? As a keen member of Tzu Chi, our EOTM July 2012 certainly does! A kind hearted person who never hesitates to give a helping hand to others, our July Superstar is certainly liked by many in the office. However, she has her ‘weak point’ too. Whenever she is stressed out at work, she would take out a package of readily prepared snack and start to nibble on them. Although it makes us worry that she might indulge in all these too often, she is able to overcome all the challenges she faces at work with an optimistic attitude and a package of snack 
Moreover, since she started her service at Exabytes, she has shown significant improvement in her web design skills. Without further delay, let’s give it up to Web & Graphic Designer, Ms Pang Poh Li!
Poh Li is officially the Superstar of July 2012 because she:
- was extremely helpful, especially in guiding her juniors
- was punctual and efficient at work
- took the initiative to perform extra work when she was free
- helped to ease the workload of seniors by slowly taking over some important tasks

Exabytes EOTM a.k.a. Employee of the Month is a monthly award that rewards deserving Exabees for their outstanding performance, selfless dedication to work and setting up a role model for all of us. In June, a brilliant Exabee has once again proved to us that he is definitely more than average.
Our star of June 2012 is an avid photographer and traveler. He might be the most dedicated Exabee we have seen, as the chap has no problem traveling all the way from his hometown, Ipoh to Penang office during holidays just to fill up an empty slot in the shift schedule to help resolve the issue of short-handedness in the team. At the same time, not only does he take the initiative to work overtime, he is always ready to put in extra effort to ask and learn from his seniors.
Without further ado, let’s give a big round of applause to Exabytes EOTM June 2012, System Engineer Mr. Koo Chee Ken!
Apart from all the good qualities we know, allow us to highlight a few:
- always takes the initiative to help out when the team is shorthanded

In May 2012, we at Exabytes gave our highest salutation to a superhero Exabee who made miracles twice within just 30 days! Without further suspense, we want to announce loud and proud that Rick Toh Eng Chun was officially the EOTM of May, after grabbing the award only the previous month. This phenomenon doesn’t happen often and it can be described as ‘once in a blue moon’ in Exabytes EOTM history.
A frequent gym-goer, not only does Rick have a sturdy and healthy body, he has the brain to perform exceptionally well two months in a row. Approachable and helpful to anyone around him, Rick is known to us as someone who is fun to mix with and highly responsible for work. Wait no more! Let’s give a big round of applause to Rick Toh, the Star of April and May, from Technical Support Department!
Reasons Rick was voted again the EOTM of May:
- Highly responsible for the tasks assigned to him
- Extremely helpful and meticulous in solving issues for customers
- Friendly and always gets to the root of technical issues when solving them

Have you ever come across someone who is muscular, highly effective at work and at the same time is a fantastic drifter? And when we mentioned ‘drifter’, we did not mean someone who wanders aimlessly from place to place, but rather fast car drifters who we see on the movie Fast and Furious.
The month of April was one that was full of pleasant surprises. A tough guy with an absolute passion for iPhones at Exabytes managed to impress our ever critical judges of EOTM not because of his drifting skills or his liking for iPhones, but his selfless dedication to his work as well as his great sense of responsibility. Outside of work, our April EOTM is a huge fan of English drama series and Japanese anime movies even though he doesn’t understand a word of Japanese.

The reasons Rick beat the rest of us in the office last April:
